Developing patterns

Design 1: These design developments started off with using the pathfinder tool and morphing all the ipod symbols together to create an abstract pattern.
Once I got the pattern I played around with the fill and stroke to achieve these different patterns.

Design 2: Again I have used the ipod symbols and the pathfinder tool, but this time i have made the pattern more symmetric by reflecting the pattern.
In the floral like patterns i have used the rotate tool to make a motif and then copy and pasted then changed the scale. I quite like these designs but don't think they fit my machine/futuristic theme.

Design 3: This design was created with using just the play symbol and manipulating it with the transform tool.
This first design was one of the first patterns I had developed and when I got the feedback from Vanessa I realised there were few parts of the design that I needed to clean up.
Instead I decided to re-do the design but still look fairly similar to the previous.

Design 4: In design development 4 I have taken the wheel out of the cassette and cut it in half. I then used the rotate and scale tool to make the petal like motifs and then rotate them to create the flower motif.
I quite like how these designs flow, but I'm not sure if they fit with my theme, with the futuristic, geometric and machine look.

Design 5: This design was created by using the path finder tool and merging the pause and stop symbols together. I then made a whole strip of these and distorted it to give it depth.

Design 6: This final design is a development from Design 3, I have taken the triangle motif and used the rotate tool to make these hexagons. I developed it further by making the pattern smaller in scale and then I decided to add purple into the pattern and it created a larger hexagon pattern within the pattern.
